I have been a vegetarian for about a decade now. My reason for starting was piety for the animals. I now have arguments ranging from how it is bad for the environment, to health reasons and the the problem of other minds (something I picked up in philosophy class). Although it really is piety for the animals that drives me, if I were truly concerned by that other stuff, I would stop drinking milk. I have more stuff on the other sites so check them out.
