Vegetarian Passions

Love me? Hate me? Indifferent?

If I have a soul mate, he would have to be a vegetarian or vegan. This is my reasoning for joining this site. I have been asked out by many nice carnivores, however, I see no point in dating one. I tried it, and I dont wish to go there ever again. The idea of kissing someone who just ate a hamburger makes me want to puke. I am also here to make new friends and have conversations with other vegetarians. I find them to be better people. They have a level of compassion and respect for other life forms which the carnivores seems to lack. I think it is part of evolution to get off the meat based/cruelty based diet. How can you say that you enjoy eating a hamburger (or love animals!) when you are educated enough to know and understand the torture that the animal has suffered to get to your plate? So, making new friends with similar interests would be very beneficial. I dont care where you live! I dont care how old you are either. Gender is also not of concern to me. I am hoping that through attempting to get the ideas and opinions of other vegetarians, I can find a way to enjoy my time here with other "people". As for now, I am not impressed with "people". They are dicks, for the most part. I am a loner, so my slightly anti-social behavior has served me very well thus far. Perhaps through vegetarian networking, I can find more satisfactory friends!!!
