I am in search of a like-minded soul who is interested in helping this planet become a better place... I for starters... would like to see the 'term' vegetarian replaced with a new word, ------? My Mom asked yesterday... 'Do you eat FRUIT?" No kidding. I stopped eating 'red meat' in 1984, dropped poultry & fish also in 2000 (new millenium...) and would like others to 'appreciate' moreso - their dietary decisions, and what they imply. I am - now an old term, - a 'NEW AGE' type person; I am a devout believer in FREE WILL and it's exercise (that's why we are here) and am NOT interested in things like Astrology, Numerology etc. I do like numbers and the wonders of mathematical relations... but I don't believe your/our fate is set because of the numbers (count 'em / so what) in our names... Very much interested in politics at all levels AND speaking up when it is warranted. We have to recognize things (and people) for what they truly are, and approach things (and them) appropriately... SYNCHRONICITY: I posted this today on the Toronto Vegetarians Facebook page... 8 - 1 TODAY, / I DID NOT! & I say, / To you my dear friend / Would YOU want such an end? // Let's look at what's real / Did I dampen your zeal? / Do you care, do you feel? / How's your sandwich... It's veal? // Unfortunately, for 'some' / They're looked at as dumb / Just pieces of meat / And a meal, they complete // 8 - 1 today / 2012 came our way / We, who make choices / For those with no voices // Let's shine the light bright / In hopes people might / Yes, finally see / What things need not be ........ and a young fella with his Mom just said, (right in front of my 'fries for WiFi table), "Turn the bright lights on" Hopefully, in THIS new year... 'we' will all see the light - when it comes to animal rights & their ethical treatment... PEACE ON EARTH
